Ruby on Rails has become very popular among web site designers and web programmers because it is designed to increase the speed and ease with which database-driven web sites can be created. If you_re eager to start using Ruby on Rails, the first thing you_re going to have to do is install it. That_s the focus of this article, the first part in a series that will teach you the basics of programming with this versatile framework.So you decided to try your hand at programming with Ruby on Rails. It took me two hours to figure it out, and to be honest, it wasn_t until hour three that I realized I had indeed installed the Ruby part properly. Fortunately I decided to try the whole process over and what I discovered was this: Ruby and Rails are probably the easiest software I have ever installed. Judging by the websites out there, I_m not alone in this. Even Ruby_s own website doesn_t explain the process very well. But I have identified the problem: most tutorials try to tell you how to install both at the same time. We_re going to make it simple for our tiny brains.
